Business Support Officer - Fife

2020 Recruitment are working with one of our manufacturing clients who are looking to add a Business Support Officer to their Glenrothes based team.

This is a permanent position and offers the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a business that is a leader of their industry.

The Role

As a Business Support Officer, you will be responsible for providing administrative and operational support to ensure the smooth functioning of the business operations. Your primary focus will be to provide HR support to the Directors as well as maintaining all ISO 9001 quality systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Business Support Officer your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • To support HR processes and recruitment. Co-ordinate with external organisation to implement the procedures as per legislation and Directors instructions.
  • Help maintain the Quality plan and co-ordinate with external auditors and directors to communicate the quality objectives.
  • Support health and safety documentation in line with government legislation as directed by senior management.
  • Provide high confidential administrative support to Senior Directors.
  • Prepare and distribute reports, presentations, and correspondence as required.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and guidelines.
  • Monitor and respond to inquiries and requests from internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Perform general office duties such as filing, photocopying, and maintaining office supplies.
  • Any other reasonable business.

Requirements

To be considered for the Business Support Officer position you must have the following skills & attributes:

  • Mature and confidential person.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Ability to take ownership of the role.
  • Able to work under minimum supervision whilst actively achieving tasks.
  • The successful candidate must be passionate about their role.
  • Able to use all the usual Microsoft packages.
  • Able to work independently on small projects as well as maintain systems.
  • Able to plan work and support/ direct others (sometimes in the directors name when they are overseas on business).
  • Knowledge and experience of working on ISO 9001 would be an advantage.
  • Previous experience within an office based role or an HR based position is essential.
  • Although no qualifications required an HNC or HND would be an advantage.
