2020 Recruitment is working with one of our engineering clients who are looking to add Compex Electricians to their Glenrothes based team on a permanent contract.
This is an opportunity to work with an established global engineering client with work offshore, nationally and internationally.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Electrical Engineer your duties will include the following:
- Interpret all aspects of electrical engineering drawings.
- Selection and erection of Ex rated cable glands, containment, enclosures, cabling and connectors.
- Knowledgeable of various electrical components.
- Inspection and testing of electrical systems.
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and diagnose equipment issues as required.
- Install, commission and test client equipment as required.
- Create detailed service reports, maintain accurate records, complete all paperwork, test procedures, risk assessments and toolbox talks to a very high standard.
- Provide support to other trades/disciplines where required.
Requirements
To be considered as the Electrical Engineer you must have the following skills & experience:
- Must be a time served electrician with panel and control system experience.
- IEE 18th Edition.
- Demonstrates a high standard in completion of tasks associated within the role as Electrical Technician defined in the key responsibilities above.
- Demonstrable offshore/onshore experience in electrical service/maintenance/installation background.
- Demonstrates a good understanding of safe working practices and can demonstrate commitment to safe working at all times.
- Must be willing to work offshore, UK wide and internationally
