2020 Recruitment are working with one of our engineering clients who are looking to add an Electrical Technician to their team in Kintore on a initial 3 month contract with the possibility of being made permanent.
The Role
As an Electrical Technician you will be responsible for carrying out the connection and assembly of a wide range of equipment in accordance to relevant standards and delivery times. Working within a small team you will pro-actively ensure customer and stakeholders’ demands are met according to changing production priorities. As Electrical Technician you will be a key player in completing manufacturing project requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Electrical Technician your duties & responsibilities will include:
- Prepare work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists, gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements
- Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
- Verify specifications by measuring completed component
- Perform quality work checks to ensure the product meets quality standards
- Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources
- Keep equipment operational by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs
- Maintain safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Maintain supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies
- Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Requirements
To be considered for the Electrical Technician role you must have the following skills & experience:
- Time-served Engineer with a strong electronics background associated with machine tools
- Reasonable facilities understanding required
- Reasonable capability of mechanical repair
- MEWP Licence (Essential)
- Good communication skills and teamwork
- Self-motivated
- Flexible
Package
As the Electrical Technician you will be offered the following package:
- Hourly rate of £15.75 - £17.75
- 3 month contract with view to being extended or made permanent
