Operations Co-Ordinator - North West England

Our global engineering client is looking to add an Operations Co-Ordinator to their team in Walkden on an initial 12 month contract.

The role requires knowledge and experience in multiple SAP disciplines ranging from project planning, equipment deployment, product supply and field operational support. The role requires a self starting individual that will work to complete any outstanding task without prompting.

The role is to provide operational support to the business from initial customer enquiry to creation of cost invoice,  support business functions which include interface with field operations staff, bulk distribution & planning, internal & external customers.

 

Main Job Responsibilities

  •                 Plan and Assign work which is generated in a number of ways
  •                 Deal with telephone enquiries from internal and external customers
  •                 Operation requests / requirements from internal field based team
  •                 Purchasing requirements generated via pro-formas or SAP
  •                 Proposal and tender requests direct from bulk sales
  •                 Collation of operational KPI's
  •                 Assist and support Sales personnel in their role including proposals and tenders, CRM, Workbooks, visit reports, opportunities and close out
  •                 Process and expedite all purchasing requests for all activities – maintain utilisation of contractors/third party agency hours from their invoices
  •                 Use of company database, create cost estimates and cost summaries and on completion of jobs liaise with customers regarding purchase orders, etc. 
  •                 Maintain and update information in company database such as invoicing, holidays, utilisation, customer costs, customer and tchnician survey documents
                     

Skills/Experience Required

  • The ability to react to changing customer and operational requirements in a structured and efficient manner in a fast moving and pressurised environment
  • You must be willing to be flexible with working hours in order to be able to carry out last minute requests in a timely fashion
  • Must have suitable operational and administration skills in order to ensure all key activities are coordinated and completed efficiently
  • Have previous experience in a similar role and be able to demonstrate a good level of SAP & administrative understanding
  • Have a proven track record in dealing directly with customers and suppliers
  • Operate with a high level of customer service
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with IT and PC applications
  • Be able to work in a pressurised environment interfacing with external customers

 

Hourly rate, circa £18 per hour gross PAYE + company pension
Mon-Fri, 37.5 hours per week (excl. breaks) + on call weekends following training
