2020 Recruitment is looking for a Technical Clerk to join our client’s project in Burntisland.

This is a contract position with an expected duration of up to 6 weeks.

The role would likely suit someone with some additional background experience in the marine or engineering industries/disciplines.

The Role

As the Technical Clerk, you will work closely with the QA department to ensure all Quality related project documentation is updated, filed, and put into the correct format as required by the company document controller.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Technical Clerk your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Writing reviewing, scanning, distributing, filing, and archiving completed Quality documents
  • Maintain the quality department project records both paper and electronic files
  • Ensuring that all administrative activities within the Quality department are compliant
  • Deputising for the document controller as required
  • Performing document control activities as required
  • Performing administrative support during client / customer audits / visits
  • Ensuring client deliverables / requirements are met according to the project specification
  • Actively manage, maintain and development of project procedures, forms, and work instructions with a view to continually improving these to reflect internal/external best practices and industry standards
  • Aid in the preparation of reports /KPIs to Managers


To be considered for the Technical Clerk position you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft office (word, excel, etc.)
  • Document control experience (preferred)
  • Administrative experience and a good knowledge of document control.
  • Ideally a minimum of 3 years’ experience working within a similar role
  • Right to work within the UK
