2020 Recruitment are working with one of our engineering clients who are looking to add an Account Manager to their team based in Glenrothes.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a well renowned engineering company who work with unique clients throughout the globe.

The Role

The successful candidate will create long-term, trusting relationships with customers. As the Account Manager your role is to oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, work closely with suppliers and ensure all paperwork is in order.

Responsibilities & Duties

As the Account Manager your duties will include the following:

  • Serve as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships
  • Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits
  • Develop trusted advisor relationships with key accounts, customer stakeholders and executives
  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives
  • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders
  • Develop new business with existing clients and identify areas of improvement to meet sales quotas
  • Prepare reports on account status
  • Assist with challenging client requests or issue escalations as needed


To be considered for the Account Manager position you must have the following skills & experience:

  • Proven work experience as an Account Manager, Key Account Manager, Sales Account Manager or relevant role
  • Experience and understanding of the engineering Industry
  • Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organisation
  • Solid experience with CRM software
  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions to customer needs
  • Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail
  • Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
