Bar and Restaurant Manager | Cupar
2020 Recruitment are working with a gastropub in Cupar who are looking for a Bar and Restaurant Manager to lead their front-of-house team.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys being on the floor, supporting their team and making sure guests receive a warm welcome and excellent service.
The Role
As Bar and Restaurant Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day running of the bar and restaurant. You’ll organise the team, maintain service standards and work closely with the kitchen to ensure everything runs smoothly, particularly during busy periods.
Duties & Responsibilities
Your duties will include:
- Lead, train and support bar and waiting staff.
- Oversee daily bar and restaurant service.
- Manage bookings, staffing levels and rotas.
- Welcome guests and deal professionally with questions or concerns.
- Work closely with the Head Chef to coordinate service, events and specials.
- Manage stock, ordering and wastage across the bar.
- Ensure cash handling and opening and closing procedures are followed.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation and safety.
- Ensure licensing procedures and responsible alcohol service are followed.
Requirements
To be considered, you should have:
- Management or supervisory experience in a pub, restaurant or similar hospitality setting.
- Strong customer service and team leadership skills.
- The ability to stay organised and make decisions during busy services.
- Experience managing rotas, stock and day-to-day operations.
- Good communication skills and a hands-on approach.
- A sound understanding of responsible alcohol service.
Working Hours
With the business being open from 12pm – 9pm Monday to Thursday and a 11pm close at weekends the Manager will be expected to work between these hours with the majority of the work being carried out during the week.
Pay
As the Bar and Restaurant Manager you will be offered a pay rate of £15ph as well as tips with both being paid on a weekly basis.
