2020 Recruitment are working with a well-established and highly respected business based in Newbridge who are looking to add a Business Development Associate to their team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for either an experienced Business Development individual or someone with the right attitude who is keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career within a commercial role.

The role will focus on developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing client relationships and helping to grow market presence across Scotland and the wider UK.

The Role
As the Business Development Associate, you will be responsible for identifying, developing and securing new business opportunities while building strong, long-term relationships with customers. This role is open to both experienced candidates and those looking to build a career in business development.

Working hours will be Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00 with the option of hybrid working once fully trained.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Business Development Associate your duties will include:

  • Identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Managing and growing existing customer accounts
  • Building strong relationships with key decision makers
  • Preparing and delivering sales proposals and quotations
  • Attending client meetings and site visits
  • Negotiating pricing and commercial terms
  • Maintaining accurate records of sales activity and pipeline
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure smooth delivery

Requirements
To be considered for the Business Development Associate you should demonstrate:

  • A genuine interest in business development and sales
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Commercial awareness and negotiation ability
  • A proactive and self-motivated approach
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Right to work in the UK

A background in steel, fabrication or a related engineering or manufacturing environment would be highly advantageous, although full training can be provided.
