Business Development Representative - Fife

2020 Recruitment are seeking a motivated and goal-oriented Business Development Representative to join our Glenrothes based client on a permanent contract.

As a Business Development Representative, you will play a crucial role in driving the company's growth by identifying and qualifying potential business opportunities.

You will be responsible for researching, prospecting, and engaging with prospective clients to generate new leads and expand their customer base.

The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a strong sales mindset, and a passion for building relationships.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Business Development Representative your duties will include the following:

  • Identify and qualify potential business opportunities through research and lead generation techniques.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting activities, including cold calling, emailing, and social media outreach, to engage with prospective clients.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified leads, ensuring regular follow-ups and timely progression of leads through the sales cycle.
  • Conduct initial discovery calls and virtual meetings to assess client needs, educate them on products/services, and identify opportunities for collaboration.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to strategically plan and execute targeted outreach campaigns and initiatives.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all lead interactions and sales activities using CRM software.
  • Provide feedback and insights from prospective clients to assist in refining sales strategies and product offerings.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to support the creation of effective sales collateral and campaigns.

Requirements

To be considered for the Business Development Representative position you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in a similar business development or sales role, preferably within the B2B sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong persuasive and negotiation skills with the ability to overcome objections and close deals.
  • Self-motivated and results-driven mindset, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales productivity tools to manage leads and track sales activities.
  • Solid understanding of business development principles, sales methodologies, and lead generation techniques.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
