Cask Warehouse Operator – Newburgh, Fife
Permanent | £30,000 per annum + company bonuses
2020 Recruitment are working with an award-winning client who is looking to add a Cask Warehouse Operator to their team in Newburgh, Fife.
This permanent position offers a varied, practical role within an established business, with training, development and opportunities to progress.
Own transport is essential due to the location of the facility.
The Role
As the Cask Warehouse Operator, you will support the safe handling, movement and storage of casks, ensuring warehouse activities are completed efficiently and accurately.
You will take responsibility for your assigned tasks, use your initiative to identify work that needs attention and support the wider team in keeping the warehouse running smoothly.
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00–16:30
Friday: 08:00–14:30
Overtime is available when required by the business.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Cask Warehouse Operator, your duties will include:
- Moving, stacking and storing casks in designated warehouse locations
- Supporting cask filling, disgorging and sampling activities
- Checking casks for damage or leaks and reporting any concerns
- Maintaining accurate records and tracking cask movements
- Supporting stock checks and warehouse inspections
- Loading and unloading deliveries using appropriate handling equipment
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Welcoming and assisting visitors to the site
Requirements
To be considered for the Cask Warehouse Operator position, you must have:
- A current Counterbalance Forklift licence or previous experience operating a forklift
- The ability to undertake physical work safely, following correct manual handling procedures
- Strong attention to detail when checking stock and maintaining records
- A reliable approach, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
- A good understanding of warehouse health and safety
- Your own transport
- The right to work in the UK
Previous experience handling casks or working in a similar environment would be highly advantageous.
