2020 Recruitment is delighted to be working with a leading engineering company in Fife who are looking to recruit an experienced CNC Machining Centre Operator to join their growing team. You will be required to work both day and night shift on a rotational basis.

The Role
You will be responsible for operating CNC machining centres, producing high-precision components while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate CNC machining centres using Mazak or Okuma controls
- Understand and work from engineering drawings and specifications
- Read, understand, and adjust CNC programs
- Write basic programs or macros for standard features
- Machine complex oil & gas components
- Work with materials including Inconel, Duplex, and Carbon Steels
- Apply correct cutting parameters
- Carry out 100% inspection of your own work
Skills & Experience
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a CNC machining environment
- Experience with Mazak or Okuma controls
- Ability to work on your own initiative
- Experience working on high-value components
- Knowledge of Inconel, Duplex, and Carbon steels
- Strong attention to detail
Hours of Work
- Dayshift: Mon–Thu 07:00 – 17:15 (39 hours)
- Nightshift: Mon–Thu 20:30 – 07:00 with 06:00 finish on Fridays
Pay & Benefits
- Basic rate up to £22 per hour
- Overtime paid at x1.5 (first 4 hours) and x2 thereafter
