2020 Recruitment are working with our engineering client based in North Ayrshire who are looking to add a CNC Machinist to their team.
This is a permanent position working both days and nights on a rotational basis.

The Role
Reporting to the Machine Shop Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for machining components from technical drawings to meet exacting standards. This role requires a high level of precision, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while maintaining production targets.
Key Responsibilities
As the CNC Machinist your duties will include the following:
- Programming, setting, and operating CNC machines using Mazatrol controls
- Interpreting detailed engineering drawings to produce accurate components
- Machining a variety of materials including high-grade alloys such as Inconel 718
- Maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment
- Working in line with company quality procedures and health and safety standards
- Achieving production targets without compromising on quality
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have the following skills and experience:
- Minimum of three years’ post-apprenticeship experience in CNC machining
- Experience working with medium to heavy components
- Strong capability in Mazatrol programming and setting
- Previous experience operating CNC Horizontal Borers, Vertical Borers, Machining Centres or Mill-Turns
- Sound understanding of tooling applications, feeds, speeds, and cycle times
- Excellent attention to detail with strong problem-solving abilities
- Flexible and adaptable approach with good communication skills
