We’re currently recruiting for an experienced CNC Machine Operator / CNC Machinist to join a busy and well-established machine shop in North Ayrshire on a permanent contract.
39 per week on days and nights 2 week rotation.
Reporting directly to the Machine Shop Supervisor, this role is ideal for someone who takes real pride in producing high-quality components and enjoys working in a fast-paced engineering environment.
The Role
You’ll be responsible for machining components to a very high standard, ensuring all work meets customer specifications and internal quality procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Manufacturing components from engineering drawings
- Interpreting specifications to produce accurate, high-quality parts
- Working to estimated production times without compromising quality
- Maintaining high housekeeping standards to ensure a safe working environment
What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ post-apprenticeship CNC machining experience
- Strong experience working with medium to heavy components
- Competent in setting and programming Mazatrol milling machining centres
- Experience with CNC horizontal/vertical borers, machining centres or mill-turns
- Good understanding of tooling, feeds and speeds to maximise efficiency
- High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
- Right to work in the UK
Experience working with high-grade materials such as Inconel 718 would be a distinct advantage.
