Compliance & Improvement Coordinator - North West England

2020 Recruitment are working with our industrial client who are looking to add a Compliance & Improvement Coordinator to their team in Worcester.

This is a contract position with an expected duration of at least 6 months.

Work Schedule: 39 hours per week. Monday – Thursday: 7am – 3:30pm. Friday: 7am - 2pm. Possible weekend work and overtime. Full-time on-site.

The Role

Reporting into the Asset Planning and Workshop Manager, the incumbent will work in the Engineering Workshop in Worcester, focused on EH&S related activities within the Workshop.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Compliance & Improvement Coordinator your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and update risk assessments for workshop activities and equipment.
  • Write and revise Workshop Work Instructions (WWIs).
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance safety, efficiency, and compliance.
  • Manage the scrapping and disposal of obsolete or non-compliant materials in line with EH&S and company policies.
  • Implement corrective actions from EH&S audits.
  • Collaborate with workshop staff to ensure procedures are practical and understood.
  • Assist in preparing documentation and evidence for audits.
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to EHNS reporting.
  • Improve workshop setup and layout and enact changes via the management of change process.
  • Ensure compliance with Regulations and EHSQ policies and procedures.

Requirements

To be considered for the Compliance & Improvement Coordinator you require the following:

  • Proven experience in EHNS, workshop operations, or technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and safety standards.
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Experience in process improvement or lean methodologies is desirable

Package

As the Compliance & Improvement Coordinator you will be offered the following:

  • Pay rate of £17ph PAYE
  • Overtime allowance of 150% on Saturday and 200% on a Sunday
