Decommissioning HSEQ Adviser - Fife

2020 Recruitment are working with our decommissioning client who are looking for an HSEQ Adviser to join their team based in Methil.

This is a contract role with an expected duration of around 6 months.

Please note that the successful candidate will also be required to visit their Head Office based in Central Scotland.

The Role

As the Decommissioning HSEQ Adviser you will be working on a large decommissioning project where you will be responsible for all Health & Safety matters.

The successful candidate will play a key role within the business and report directly to the management team.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Decommissioning HSEQ Adviser your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for all Health & Safety matters at the decommissioning facility
  • Undertake regular inspections/audits in line with agreed programmes and report accordingly
  • Prepare and present KPI’s and relevant statistics
  • Advise and assist site and office-based staff on all aspects of the Company’s, Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems and procedures
  • Source, plan and deliver training to employees as required
  • Continual promotion of the health and safety ethos and culture at all levels within the Company and with subcontractors
  • Preparation of Construction Phase Health and Safety Plans for sites, with assistance from site staff
  • Contribute to, and develop appropriate health and safety, and environmental initiatives as required by the HSEQ Manager
  • Prepare and distribute regular health and safety alerts
  • Contribute to the development of operating procedures and other aspects of the Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Management Systems

Requirements

To be considered for the Decommissioning HSEQ Adviser role you must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety Delivered by the National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health (NEBOSH ), with an excellent understanding of a broad range of health and safety topics
  • Knowledge of Construction Design & Management (CDM 2015 ) advantageous
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to lead, motivate, resolve problems, and inspire a diverse workforce
  • Computer literate (MS Office applications)
  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • You must already have the right to work within the UK

 

Package

As the Decommissioning HSEQ Adviser you will be offered the following:

  • 6 month contract
  • Hourly rate of £24.50
  • PAYE contract (Holiday pay accrued, no fees)
