2020 Recruitment are working with a Glenrothes based manufacturer who are looking to add an Electrical Instrument Technician to their team.
This is a permanent position, and the successful candidate will be reporting directly to the Electrical Engineering Manager.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of drive systems and electrical systems for rotating plant, AC and DC drives.
The Role
As the Electrical Instrument Technician, you will be working in a team of four responsible for day-to-day maintenance, trouble shooting, tuning of machinery and installations of new and old equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Electrical Instrument Technician your duties will include:
- Ensure all equipment is effectively maintained to ensure maximum plant reliability
- Inspection, maintenance and calibration of equipment
- Installation and commissioning activities
- Attend breakdowns and perform planned and pro-active maintenance
- Support upgrade and improvement projects
- Complete inspection reports
Requirements
To be considered for the Electrical Instrument Technician you must have the below experience:
- Recognised apprenticeship in Electrical / Control / Instrumentation Engineering (min HNC)
- Experienced in a continuous process production environment
- Min of 10 years experience
- Knowledge/experience of PLC equipment and instrumentation on process machinery
- Adapt in fault finding with a variation of electrical equipment
- Excellent verbal, written and problem-solving skills
- Able to prepare technical reports and plan work
- IT literate
- Authorised to work in the UK

As the Electrical Instrument Technician you will be offered the following:
- Salary of £45k - £55k per annum
