About the Role
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to maintain plant and equipment to ensure optimal performance, meeting all company and statutory standards. You’ll handle both planned maintenance and reactive breakdowns, playing a key role in ensuring operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Your duties as the Electrical Maintenance Engineer will include:
- Interpreting mechanical and electrical equipment and plant layout drawings.
- Performing scheduled maintenance of plant and equipment, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative standards.
- Updating maintenance data records accurately and promptly.
- Addressing breakdowns promptly, carrying out necessary repairs, and documenting the causes of equipment failures.
- Proposing and implementing improvements based on breakdown analysis.
- Maintaining a clean, organized workspace in compliance with company housekeeping standards.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you will need:
- A solid Electrical background with a Mechanical bias.
- A traditional apprenticeship and relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, ONC, HNC in Electrical Maintenance).
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- The ability to work independently and communicate effectively.
- Proficiency in MS Office and other relevant applications.
- A proactive approach to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.
