Equipment Engineer - Fife

2020 Recruitment is working with one of our Fife-based manufacturing clients who are looking to add an Equipment Engineer to their team on a permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a heavily invested and fully dedicated manufacturing facility within the Semiconductor industry.

The Role

The primary focus of the Equipment Engineer will be to carry out planned and reactive maintenance and associated tasks on manufacturing equipment in order to ensure on-time delivery of products to customers.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Equipment Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include the following:

  • Define and carry out routine checks and maintenance on equipment and associated services
  • Identify and carry out repairs and modifications to equipment and services
  • Support and deliver projects to upgrade and install new equipment and services
  • Lower manufacturing costs with emphasis on cost of ownership and optimisation of the factory performance
  • Analyse equipment performance data, report findings and implement improvement actions
  • Collect and maintain documentation to meet safety, quality and project compliance and legislation
  • Control documentation for Quality management and maintenance management systems
  • Develop and document maintenance practices & procedures so that they are easily understood and followed
  • Own the supplier interface for tools within areas of responsibility
  • Support project planning, monitoring, and reporting

Requirements

To be considered for the Equipment Engineer position you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Minimum HNC in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Experience in semiconductor manufacturing equipment and services
  • Track record of ability to fault-find and solve technical problems
  • Highly motivated self-starter and able to drive progress without close supervision
  • Demonstrable experience in equipment performance improvement programmes/activities
  • Experienced and confident in interacting with customers & suppliers to leverage the best outcomes for the business
  • Proven post-qualification experience of working within a multi-disciplined maintenance environment is essential
  • Experience in maintaining a wide range of process equipment
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office applications
