The Role
As a French Polisher, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional finishes across bespoke furniture, cabinetry, and architectural joinery. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in producing high-quality work to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out French polishing and finishing on bespoke furniture and joinery
- Prepare surfaces including sanding, staining, and sealing
- Apply a range of finishes including traditional French polish, lacquers, oils, and stains
- Match and restore existing finishes for heritage and restoration projects
- Work on high-end residential and specialist interior projects
- Maintain exceptional quality standards throughout all work
- Collaborate with workshop teams to achieve desired finishes
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a French Polisher or Wood Finisher
- Experience working on high-end furniture or bespoke joinery
- Strong knowledge of traditional and modern finishing techniques
- Experience working with fine timbers and natural materials
- Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
