2020 Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Fife based engineering client who are looking for a Horizontal Borer to join their team on a permanent basis.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled Borer to work on complex and sophisticated projects.
As the Horizontal Borer you will be working both day and night shift on a rotational basis.
The Role
As the Horizontal Borer you will be responsible for the programming and running of the machines manufacturing up to 15 tons of weight. This is a highly skilled role that will require the successful candidate to produce the quality of work that is expected.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Horizontal Borer your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Programming and running the machine
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Working on high end projects
- Ensuring all work meets the highest standards
- Conduct quality checks
- Maintain a safe working environment
Requirements
To be considered for the Horizontal Borer position you must have the following:
- Experienced and skilled operator of Horizontal Borer machines
- Ability to programme
- Fanuc Controls experience
- Experience with the use of live spindle tooling
- Experience of working on large complex oil & gas parts
- Experience of working on Inconel and Duplex materials as well as standard carbon steels
- Right to work in the UK is essential
Package
As the Horizontal Borer you will be offered the following:
- Basic rate of up to £22
- Shift allowance on top of basic
- Overtime at 1.5 for 4 hours then double time
