Industrial Mechanic - Fife

2020 Recruitment are working with a Glenrothes based manufacturer who are looking to add an Industrial Mechanic to their team on a permanent contract.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced engineer that want to take ownership of maintaining the fleet of machinery (20+ trucks), attend to breakdowns as well as building up maintenance plans for equipment, required spares and request materials.

Working hours are Tuesday to Saturday 08.00 – 16.30

The Role

As the Industrial Mechanic you will be responsible for the repairs related to mechanic failure to hydraulics’ on trucks and clamps as well as rebuilds if required. You will also be fully supported to create your own maintenance workshop.

Duties & Responsibilities

As the Industrial Mechanic your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Service and maintain the forklift and telehandler fleets
  • Attend to breakdowns on site
  • Create maintenance plans
  • Responsible for the order and management of all spares and equipment
  • Work alongside other maintenance crews when required
  • Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required

Requirements

To be considered for the Industrial Mechanic role you must have the following skills and attributes:

  • Applicants must have served a recognised apprenticeship
  • Experience and be expert in repairing FLT’s and hydraulic equipment
  • Ability to create, manage and develop maintenance schedules
  • Experience of working with general steel work for repairs
  • Ability to work with other teams
  • Committed to the role and repair
  • Able to work closely with management when required
