2020 Recruitment is working with our Glenrothes based global engineering client who are looking for an Instrument Pipefitter to join their team on a 6 month contract basis. Offshore experience and certification desirable.
The Role
As the Instrument Pipefitter you will be knowledgeable in Small Bore Tubing and also possess experience in Instrument & Hydraulic systems and subsea equipment. You will be based on site the majority of the time but will be expected to travel or go offshore if the business requires.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Instrument Pipefitter your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Modify installations as requested by Workshop Supervisor/Management
- Bend / Run / install a variety of Small Bore Tubing
- Ensure that all tasks are carried out as per written and verbal instructions, work instructions, drawings etc
- Ensure all jobs are undertaken to the required quality and specification and comply with Company Procedures
- Ensure that all safety rules and regulations are conformed to at all times
- Take responsibility for the commissioning and expediting of all kit issue parts, liaising with the Production Support Team as required
- Occasional travel
Requirements
To be considered for the Instrument Pipefitter role you must have the following skills & experience:
- Experienced in subsea equipment
- Be able to demonstrate a sound working knowledge of process systems and /or Hydraulic products and related fabrication procedures
- Working within a service industry with a keen focus on, and compliance with, QHSE policies
- Previous experience of mechanical or hydraulic engineering
- Previous experience of working within an environment that requires strict adherence to processes and procedures
- The ability to read engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience in Instrument and Hydraulic systems
- Ability to work to strict standards and procedures
- Willing to work away or offshore when required
