2020 Recruitment are working with our engineering client to recruit a Maintenance Electrician to join their team based in Glenrothes.
This is a permanent opportunity within a well established and growing engineering business supporting the Oil and Gas, Defence and Renewable sectors. The role will suit an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking to work in a fast paced production environment with strong long term prospects.
The Role
As a Maintenance Electrician you will play a key role in supporting production by ensuring all machinery and equipment is maintained in a safe and efficient working condition. Working as part of the wider maintenance team, you will be required to travel between local sites in the Glenrothes area and work a rotational day and night shift pattern.
Duties and Responsibilities
As the Maintenance Electrician your duties will include:
- Responding to maintenance requests through the Pirana system in a timely manner
- Carrying out fault finding and repair of machinery and equipment
- Completing and closing maintenance tasks within the system
- Performing planned preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
- Supporting production teams with equipment requirements
- Assisting with installation and commissioning of new machinery
- Ensuring all work is carried out in line with health and safety procedures
- Continuously identifying opportunities to improve processes and performance
- Supporting with additional maintenance duties as required
Requirements
To be considered for this position you must have:
- Previous experience in a similar maintenance role
- 18th Edition qualification
- Strong fault finding skills across machinery and equipment
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics is advantageous
- Experience using maintenance systems such as Pirana
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach
- Strong awareness of health and safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
