Mechanical Maintenance Technician - Fife

Reports to: Operations and Maintenance Coordinators

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance: Perform routine and defect maintenance in line with processes and procedures.
  • Support: Provide out-of-hours support to maximize station availability and output.
  • Troubleshooting: Investigate plant issues and recommend solutions.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present technical reports and maintain work/activity records.
  • Monitoring: Conduct continuous plant condition monitoring.
  • Planning: Ensure proper planning with competent resources.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safe working practices per the SHE Management System.
  • Supervision: Oversee other staff and contractors as required.
  • Cost Awareness: Understand the cost implications and power generation metrics in your area.
  • Role Cover: Cover the day-to-day management of the Operations and Maintenance Coordinator when needed.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience:
    • Time-served apprenticeship.
    • Experience in power generation or utilities.
    • Familiarity with site safety rules.
    • Proficient in Sertica and Rivo software.
  • Skills:
    • High level of mechanical plant technical awareness.
    • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
    • Good IT proficiency.
