2020 Recruitment is looking for an experienced and safety-conscious MEWP Operator to support site operations at Perth Prison on an 8-week contract. This role is critical to ensuring work at height is carried out safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with site and health and safety regulations.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the operating of Genie Z45 Boom Lift or have knowledge on how to operate the machine.
Key Responsibilities
The MEWP Operator will be responsible for:
- Operating MEWPs safely and efficiently in line with training, site rules, and legislation
- Carrying out daily pre-use checks and reporting any defects immediately
- Supporting site teams with access at height for installation, maintenance, or inspection works
- Following risk assessments, method statements, and strict site security procedures
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working area
- Communicating effectively with supervisors and other site operatives
- Ensuring equipment is used only within its operational limits
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A valid IPAF licence (3a, 3b or equivalent)
- Previous experience operating MEWPs on construction or industrial sites
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations relating to work at height
- Good communication skills and a professional, reliable approach
- The right to work in the UK
