2020 Recruitment are delighted to be working with our Dundee based manufacturing client who are looking to add a Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer to their team.
This is a permanent position and would ideally be suited to a candidate with previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment.

The Role
As the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer you will be covering all planned maintenance, breakdowns, new projects and installations.
The Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer will be expected to diagnose any faults and ensure these are resolved in a timely manner.
Hours
During the months of October to June the Maintenance Team work Monday to Friday dayshift from 07:30 – 16:30 with a 14:00 finish on a Friday.
Due to the nature of the business from July to September you would be required to move onto 12-Hour Shifts on a 4 Days On / 1 Day Off, 4 Nights On / 3 Days Off Rotation.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer your duties will include:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on production equipment and site services
- Respond to breakdowns, diagnose faults and complete repairs to minimise downtime
- Fault-find across electrical, mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
- Inspect, repair and replace components such as motors, drives, sensors, conveyors, bearings, pumps and gearboxes
- Support the installation, commissioning and testing of new machinery and equipment
- Identify opportunities to improve safety, efficiency and equipment performance
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment and contribute to continuous improvement across the site
Requirements
To be considered for the Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer you must have the following:
- A recognised apprenticeship or qualification in electrical, mechanical or maintenance engineering
- Experience maintaining and repairing equipment in a manufacturing, production or industrial environment
- Strong fault-finding skills across both electrical and mechanical systems
- The ability to read and interpret technical drawings and electrical schematics
- Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns
- A practical approach to identifying the root cause of recurring faults
- Own basic tools
- Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with production teams
- Willingness to learn and develop
