2020 Recruitment are working with a global manufacturing client who are looking to add Paint Sprayers to their team in Middleton.
This will initially be a 6-month contract with the possibility of being made permanent for the right candidate.
To be considered it is essential that you have experience in paint spraying in an industrial environment.
The Role
As the Paint Sprayer, you will be responsible for the efficient & safe execution of preparation, painting and maintenance tasks as assigned. You will be keen to take on challenges, develop your leadership and or skills potential as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Paint Sprayer your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Perform surface preparation activities, which include masking and sanding of product prior to painting
- Perform spray painting functions related preparatory undercoating, preservatives and topcoats
- Clean and maintain paint shop equipment such as air lines, fluid lines, paint pots, paint guns and respirators.
- Ensure coatings are completed according to customer requirements.
- Clean and store empty paint containers for proper disposal.
- Maintain and change paint booth media filters and surface protectant coatings as needed.
- Properly contain hazardous waste generated from normal paint shop operations.
- Under general supervision, spray paint small, component parts prior to assembly and final coating.
- Actively contributes to quality improvement meetings / initiatives.
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
- Perform any other work-related tasks and duties in accordance with the business needs.
Requirements
To be considered for the Paint Sprayer role you must have the following:
- Practical training in an Industrial Paint Spraying function
- Level 3 (NVQ) Industrial Paint Occupations
- Minimum 2 years’ Experience in working in an Engineering Environment as a trained Paint Sprayer
- Knowledge of Spray Painting Processes
- Knowledge of PPE / HSE requirements for operating Spray painting equipment
- Working experience with overhead cranes
Pay and Hours
As the Paint Sprayer you will be offered the following:
- £15.49 PAYE basic
- Overtime and shift allowance
- Minimum of 6-month contract

Schedule:
1x Mon-Thu 06.00-14.00 & Fri 06.00-12.00 / Mond-Fri 14.00-22.00 & Fri 12.00-18.00 (rotating & 15% shift allowance)
1x Mon-Thu 22.00-06.00 & Fri 18.00-00.00 (30% shift allowance)
