Planner / Scheduler - Aberdeen

Our global engineering client in Kintore, Aberdeen is looking to add a Planner / Scheduler to their team on a 6 month contract basis.

As the Planner / Scheduler the tasks will consist of, but not limited to: Short horizon planning, work pack creation, supply chain expediting, assembly scheduling, shopfloor interface, and revenue forecasting.

As the Planner / Scheduler you will need to have excellent communication and organisation skills, as is IT and analytical skills essential.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop the Assembly scheduling process to maximize OTIF potential at this critical milestone. You will assess risk to orders and identify options and find solutions to ensure the timely delivery of products to customers.
  • Utilise the MRP system to its full advantage to ensure schedule integrity.
  • Create work packs for the shopfloor to meet the needs of the business, this will include but may not be limited to: Job traveler copy, drawing copy, and any current Assembly support sheets required.
  • Communicate efficiently and promptly with the shopfloor, as you will be the direct interface for your product category.
  • Request cost rolls when required, on all parts within Assembly.
  • Have the vision to own short planning horizons and expedite Inspection / supply chain proactively to ensure you have full availability of a BoM.
  • Be a key in coordinating revenue forecast and will ensure you feedback status on a daily / weekly and monthly basis to measure against your commitments.
  • Absorb priorities and identify options to meet client needs, while analysing the impact of schedule changes both to other customer orders and financially. You will ensure these priorities are handled effectively and quickly.
  • Ensure any impacts to deliveries are fed back to Project Planners via OMEGA dates, as well as verbally.
  • Join all relevant production meetings and lead conversation on schedule adherence.
  • Adhere to all agreed KPI’s in line with the requirements of your role.
  • Have the ability to communicate at all levels, inclusive of Directors.
  • Undertake any other duties that may be required to commensurate with the grade of the job.

 

This is office based Monday to Friday 8.30am to 4.30pm.

Rate of pay is £14.65/hour.
