Production Operator – Glenrothes
2020 Recruitment is delighted to be working with our local engineering client who is looking Production Operators to join their team.
This is a great opportunity for those looking for an opportunity of permanent work
Initially a 12-week contract, at the end of this period you will become a permanent member of staff and will be given opportunities to progress your career.
The Role
As the Production Operator, you will be trained in the testing and refurbishment of various electrical products. Opportunities will also be available to progress and develop through the business.
Working Hours
As the Production Operator your working hours will be:
Day Shift Monday to Friday 07:00 to 15:00
Back Shift Monday to Friday 15:00 to 23:00
Night Shift Sunday to Friday 23:00 to 07:00
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Production Operator your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Understand the process flow of product
- Understand where to find the current work instructions
- To ensure Customer requirements are met on time
- To ensure that standards are met at all times
- To ensure all transactions are carried out accurately
- To ensure that all quality standards are met at all times and the unit is constructed as per work instructions
- To be able to demonstrate the importance of health and safety within production area
- To ensure that tooling is suitable for task in hand
- Have an understanding of the principles of 5’s within the area
- Have an understanding the importance of escalating quality issues from suppliers
Requirements
Although no similar experience is required you must have the following skills & attributes to be considered:
- Exceptional hand-eye coordination
- Quality focused with good attention to detail
- Must demonstrate the ability to follow work instructions
- Preferred experience working in a target driven environment
- Basic PC skills
- Good team player with good communication skills
- Flexible approach and can-do attitude
- Reliable
Package
As the Production Operator, you will be offered a package that includes:
- Starting pay rate of £10.20ph
- £12.75ph 5pm
