Production Operative – Glenrothes
Temporary to Permanent | £13.45 per hour | Monday to Friday 08:30 – 17:00
2020 Recruitment are working with an established manufacturing client who are looking to add a Production Operative to their team in Glenrothes.
This is a varied, practical position offering the opportunity to learn new skills across production, warehouse operations and dispatch.
You will work through 2020 Recruitment for the first 12 weeks before moving into permanent employment with the client.
Driving licence required as you will need to use the company vehicle on occasion.
The Role
As the Production Operative, you will provide support across several areas of the business. Your work will include assisting production staff, operating equipment, preparing orders and supporting stock management.
You will also help prepare samples and materials for exhibitions, with occasional delivery and collection duties using the company van where required.
Previous production or warehouse experience is key.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Production Operative, your duties will include:
- Setting up, operating and carrying out routine maintenance on machines.
- Assisting production staff to meet deadlines.
- Receiving, storing and picking stock.
- Packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch.
- Supporting deliveries and collections using the company van, where required and appropriately licensed.
- Ensuring goods and equipment are handled and transported safely.
- Preparing marketing packs, samples and materials for exhibitions.
- Helping set up and dismantle exhibition displays when required.
- Providing occasional support during sales visits and trade shows.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment.
- Supporting other reasonable duties across the business.
Requirements
To be considered for the Production Operative position, you should have:
- A practical approach and a willingness to learn new skills.
- A good work ethic and reliable approach to attendance and timekeeping.
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexibility to support different tasks across the business.
- Driver licence
- The right to work in the UK.
Package
The successful candidate will be offered:
- £13.45 per hour.
- Monday to Friday working.
- Permanent employment with the client following 12 weeks through 2020 Recruitment.
- Training across a range of production and warehouse duties.
