Project Engineer - Tayside

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to become part of our clients dynamic team. based in Dundee. Our client who is a leading engineering firm specialises in the design and manufacture of equipment for international markets. With a strong reputation for innovation and technical excellence, they provide technical solutions that support the metals industry worldwide.

In this role, you will manage engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a collaborative approach and the ability to perform effectively under pressure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Coordination: Develop detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, and resource allocation. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth project execution.

• Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance and support internally and when working with external customers.

• Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets. Monitor costs to ensure projects remain within financial constraints.

• Risk Management: Identify potential project risks and implement effective mitigation strategies.

• Stakeholder Communication: Act as the main point of contact for project stakeholders. Share regular progress updates, address concerns, and ensure alignment with expectations.

• Quality Assurance: Ensure all deliverables meet quality standards and specifications. Oversee thorough testing and inspections to verify compliance.

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate project records, including site preparation instructions and Operations Manuals. Prepare and present status reports to senior management. Conduct project completion reviews and handover to After Sales Support.

Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• Experience: Previous experience in project engineering or a related role is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.

• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
