2020 Recruitment is working with one of our manufacturing clients looking to add a QA Engineer to their North Ayrshire facility.
This is a permanent position and offers the successful candidate an opportunity to work within a global market leader.
As the QA Engineer, you will play a key role within the facility and must live within a commutable distance.
The Role
As the QA Engineer, you will be responsible for coordinating and reporting, Non-conformance, corrective and Preventative actions and continuous improvements. You will liaison with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve and implement quality issues as necessary.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday 8am-4:30pm, Friday 8am-3:30pm.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the QA Engineer your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining the quality system in line with company policy & procedures
- Conduct & coordinate the internal/external quality audit schedule
- Monitor supplier performance
- Calibration system
- Maintenance of non-conformance database
- Control of documents
- Monitor and advise on the performance of the QMS, produce data and report on performance, measuring against set KPI
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions as necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational development
- Liaise with customers/suppliers on quality-related activities/performance
- Reviewing customer requirements
- Liaise with purchasing staff to establish quality requirements from external suppliers
- Use & promote the use of relevant quality tools with objective of improving the business
Requirements
To be considered for the QA Engineer position you must have the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience within a quality role
- Background within the Oil & Gas or manufacturing industry
- Experience in quality activities
- Computer literate with the ability to use Microsoft & Google software plus site ERP System & QPulse
