QA/QC Coordinator - Fife

2020 Recruitment is working with our decommissioning client who are looking for an QA/QC Coordinator to join their team based in Methil.

This contract is expected to last a minimum of 6 months with the potential for this to be extended if further contracts awarded.

This is a contract role that is open to Limited Companies.

The Role

As the QA/QC Coordinator you will be responsible for the delivery of the prefabrication, installation and commissioning of a hydrogen production facility project. The QA/QC Coordinator is responsible for providing QA and QC support to designated contracts

Duties & Responsibilities

As the QA/QC Coordinator your duties and responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for delivering the quality, schedule, and cost expectations of projects
  • Identify and assist in the mitigation of project risks, management of change, and mitigation of liability, risk of schedule growth and variations.
  • Review and acceptance of purchase requisitions and accompanying documentation (including SDRLs, specifications and quality-related instructions).
  • Review and acceptance of subcontractor documentation.
  • Maintain, develop and accept quality documentation and records.
  • Assist in the procurement process by providing technical input for the selection of materials, components, and contractors, while adhering to quality standards.

Requirements

To be considered for the QA/QC Coordinator role you must have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant subject or similar
  • 5+ years of QA/QC coordination experience in similar projects, installation and commissioning
  • Extensive experience of QC processes within the Oil & Gas Industry preferably with an Operator or Tier 1 EPIC Contractor
  • Have a fundamental understanding of independent verification activities and the role of verification societies (Lloyds/DNV/BV/ABS)
  • Proven track record in a similar role
  • Experience managing subcontractors and progress reporting of workscopes
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Extensive knowledge of management systems
  • Experience tracking quality standards during on site installation phase

Package

As the QA/QC Coordinator you will be offered the following:

  • Minimum of a 6 month contract although this could be extended
  • Open to Contractors outwith IR35
