2020 Recruitment is seeking an ambitious and motivated Sales Executive to join our client, who is a world-leading organisation specialising in the manufacture and supply of piping products.

This is a permanent, office based position (Monday to Friday) in Grangemouth focused on managing and developing an established portfolio of accounts while identifying and securing new business opportunities. The successful candidate will be instrumental in achieving sales targets and contributing to the company’s long-term growth strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day commercial activities within the sales office.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers.

  • Leverage the company’s group capabilities to maximise business potential.

  • Provide regular updates on customer visits, market developments, and competitor activity.

  • Drive sales growth to meet or exceed agreed targets.

  • Contribute to sales meetings and assist with annual sales forecasting.

  • Collaborate with colleagues across multiple locations to share insights and best practices.

Duties & Expectations

  • Ensure all operations are carried out in line with company policies and procedures.

  • Identify and pursue key sectors, markets, and high-value prospects.

  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of company stock and production capabilities.

  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding quotations and offers.

  • Comply with all health and safety requirements.

  • Attend relevant sales and management meetings.

  • Support with ad hoc procurement activities as required.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Experience in similar industry beneficial.

  • Ability to identify customer needs and convert them into profitable business opportunities.

  • Commercial awareness with sound decision-making skills.

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven.

  • Adaptable team player with a willingness to learn.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and general IT systems.

  • Knowledge of contractual obligations, including Terms & Conditions of Sales and Purchase.

Working Environment

  • Office-based, Monday to Friday.

  • Occasional travel to customer sites (driving licence and own transport essential).

  • Occasional business entertainment as required.
