Stores Person - Fife

2020 Recruitment are working with our decommissioning client who are looking for a Store Person to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time role based in Methil.

 

The Role:

As an integral part of the Decommissioning Facilities Team, you will manage all delivery and dispatches to and from the site, oversee all onsite stores and maintain equipment records and service schedules. You will be responsible for issuing all PPE, monitoring stock levels and the ordering of all materials and equipment needed for each project.

This role is critical to ensuring the smooth operation of each project, providing timely access to materials and equipment, maintaining all assets are in optimal condition at all times.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receive, Inspect, and record all incoming deliveries, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of goods received, and where appropriate, goods dispatched and returned to appropriate suppliers.
  • Manage the storage of materials and equipment in the onsite store, ensuring they are safe, accessible, and well organised.
  • Keep precise records of stock levels and initiate reorders when necessary.
  • Track all onsite equipment maintenance and service records, scheduling services and repairs to minimise downtime.
  • Co-ordinate with the site manager and other team members to support the timely progress of the project.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in storage and inventory areas.
  • Manage and promptly resolve any issues related to delivery discrepancies or faults.
  • Track on-hire equipment with start, repair and return dates.

 

Role Requirements:

  • Proven experience in store management, inventory control, or a similar construction or industrial environment role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communications abilities, with proficiency in managing multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and standard office software.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.

 

Certifications in inventory management, logistics, or related fields with an understanding of technical maintenance schedules would be advantageous but not mandatory for this role. 

 

Package:

  • Permanent contract
  • Hourly rate of £16.50 PAYE
  • Career progression with company incentives
  • Monday – Friday working week with an early finish on
  • a Friday.
