2020 Recruitment are looking for dedicated and reliable Warehouse Operatives to join our Glenrothes based client.
As a Warehouse Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the warehouse facilities. Your main responsibilities will include receiving, storing, and distributing goods and materials while adhering to all safety protocols and maintaining accurate inventory records. The ideal candidate should be physically fit, detail-oriented, and possess excellent organisational skills.
To be considered for this role you must have a valid UK Drivers Licence.
Duties & Responsibilities
As the Warehouse Operative your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents against purchase orders or delivery notes.
- Unload, inspect, and properly store goods and materials in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Use appropriate tools and equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks, to transport items within the warehouse.
- Ensure all received goods are properly labelled, tagged, and recorded in the inventory management system.
- Perform regular stock checks and maintain accurate inventory records to facilitate efficient order fulfilment.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure that products meet the required standards before dispatch.
- Assist in preparing exhibitions when required.
- Travel for exhibitions and tradeshows with the potential of staying overnight.
- Some local delivery or pick-up of goods.
Qualifications and Skills:
To be considered for the Warehouse Operative you must have the following skills and attributes:
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Operative or in a similar role.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow instructions.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a warehouse environment.
- Full UK Drivers Licence.
- Forklift Licence or be willing to take an in-house assessment.
- Ability to travel and stay away if required.
