2020 Recruitment are currently working with a Glenrothes based client who are looking to bring an experienced Coded Pipe Welder into their team on a temporary basis for approximately three months.
The client is open to discussing rates depending on experience and the skills the successful candidate can bring to the role.
The Role
You will be working primarily with carbon steel pipework, carrying out multi-run butt welds on pipework of 100mm diameter and above.
The role requires a welder who is comfortable working across multiple welding processes, including TIG and Flux Cored welding.
The welding specification includes:
• TIG welding using process 141
• TIG root pass and hot pass
• Flux Cored Welding for fill and cap passes
• MAG welding using process 135
• Butt welding of carbon steel pipework
• Pipework 100mm diameter and above
• Multi-run welding
We're Looking For
The successful candidate will ideally have:
• Previous experience as a coded pipe welder
• Strong carbon steel pipe welding experience
• Experience with TIG pipe welding
• Experience completing TIG root and hot passes
• Experience using Flux Cored Welding for fill and cap
• Experience with MAG welding
• Experience welding pipework 100mm diameter and above
• Ability to produce consistent, high-quality multi-run welds
• Ability to read and work from welding procedures/WPS
• Relevant welding qualifications/coding where applicable
• Ability to pass a practical weld test
