2020 Recruitment are working with our Middleton based client who are looking to add a Woodwork Operative to their team on an ongoing contract.
As the Woodwork Operative, you will primarily responsible for the making of cases for packaging as well as assisting with packing.
You will be keen to take on challenges, develop your leadership and or skills potential as well as expand your knowledge and experience through a variety of exciting initiatives.
Duties and Responsibilities
As the Woodwork Operative your duties will include:
- Responsible for the packing and manufacture of skids and crates for system dispatch as required
- Responsible for ensuring product is labelled, marked and marshalled for customer collections
- Assist with the packing of spares items for dispatch via couriers
- Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment if necessary
- Comply with all Company, Quality + HSE policies and procedures.
- Carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by line manager
Requirements
To be considered for the position of Woodwork Operative you must have the following skills and experience:
- Experience working with woodwork machinery
- Working in a packing/warehouse environment
- Basic packing for UK and export requirements
- Experience of manufacturing packing crates and skids within a manufacturing/warehouse environment
- Manual Handling
- Health and Safety
- Forklift Licence (desirable)
Package
As the Woodwork Operative you will be offered the following package:
- Hourly rate of £14.50
- Minimum of 4 months work
