With a reputation built over decades for quality, precision and design excellence, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Workshop Manager on a permanent basis to lead their skilled production team in Edinburgh.
The Role
As Workshop Manager, you will take full responsibility for the day-to-day operations of a busy, high-specification workshop, ensuring the delivery of bespoke furniture and joinery to the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing and coordinating all workshop activities, ensuring projects are delivered on time and to specification
- Leading, mentoring and developing a team of highly skilled cabinet makers and joiners
- Overseeing production planning, workflow and resource allocation
- Maintaining exceptional standards of craftsmanship, quality control and finishing
- Working closely with design, project management and installation teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Managing materials, machinery and workshop health & safety compliance
- Driving continuous improvement across processes, efficiency and output
About You
- Proven experience in a Workshop Manager / Production Manager role within high-end bespoke furniture, cabinet making or architectural joinery
- Strong background working with luxury, custom-made furniture or interiors
- Excellent technical knowledge of joinery, cabinet making and manufacturing processes
- A hands-on leader with the ability to motivate and manage skilled craftspeople
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- A keen eye for detail and a genuine passion for quality craftsmanship
- Experience working on bespoke, one-off or small batch projects (essential)
